Focus adapter
The Focus Adapter is used to attain the best
possible focus in astrophotography.

The Focus Adapter
In Stellar photography, it is very difficult
to obtain high precision focus with a camera's
finder.The Focus Adapter is there to get
the best focus position for fine precision.
The focus adapter sets the focus detection
screen in a suitable position for the camera
flangiback used, and so focuses it. Considering
the screen type, Kou Ei Sha manufactures
for the Ronki and frosted glass methods.
For the ronki method, there are visible stripes
in photography; when out of focus, the
stripes can be seen; as it moves into focus,
gradually the stripes widen; and with focus,
the stripes disappear.The focus adapter clears
sensually, making it very easy to use.
With the smoked glass screen, a magnifying
glass focuses the image reflected on this
screen.
Both types of Focus Adapter are manufactured
for the Pentax67, all 35mmcameras (Pentax
K/S, Nikon Cannon FD, EOS, Olympus OM, MinoltaMD,
Contax etc), the Mamiya 645, Pentax 645,
Mamiya 6x7; for Kou Ei Sha Origonal Astrocameras.For

The following figures show the focus adapter
for 35mm cameras. Since the same mount is
used for each camera. The camera body is
removed and the focus adapter attached.
